Indie Emporium weekend

So after I blogged on Friday I gathered everything and started loading up my car.

We got to Tulsa around 4pm and started setting up. It took us until 5:30, which I was surprised by. The event started at 7pm and I still had to get ready and have dinner. After set up we went to our friends Cristi and Issac's house of Felix and Jayne to get ready and then headed to dinner around 6 or so. We didn't get our food until 6:40 so I'm sure you can imagine our anxiety. We got to the event at 7:00pm. We ran inside from the parking lot and had to run past the line of people waiting to get in. Nice. I didn't price my items beforehand so I was rushing to price everything. One of the first people to come by my booth was a woman and her grandchild. The little girl picked up an owl buddy and was excited about it. Her grandma replied, "If you had the patience, we can go home and figure that out". I just stared at her. That day finally came. I've heard stories from crafters of people saying "I can make that" around their booths. I know it wasn't a personal attack but it hurt my feelings. So I started my Friday night flustered. Within 30 minutes I was feeling better and enjoying the night. I'm sad to say I didn't get any pictures of Friday at Indie Emporium!!

Riley had to go home Friday after the event since he had to go to Lawrence, Kansas the next day. So taking his spot was my sister, Cristina!

We had lunch and headed to the venue early because I didn't feel like rushing again.
I decided now was the best time to take pictures of the booth!!
There's Cristina conducting business.

Saturday was such a fun day! Cristina was an amazing helper and kept me laughing.

We came across one punk posy's booth and she had these rockin' mustaches on a stick! We became obsessed!
Cristina got into it

Claudia from Claudia's Burning Ink got into it!

The owl snuggly got into it!

Even the ghost!

Tini even got double into it!

It was great to see everyone again and meet new friends!

Renee from GreenerMe Casuals and Amby from The Knit Owl.

Cristi from Felix & Jayne and Issac!

The rockin' artist/photographer/designer Tony Li.

I have two more shows this year in Oklahoma. One in November and one in December! I'll let you know more about it later.
All in all it was a great weekend!
Thank you to those that were able to come to Indie Emporium!

  1. I loved looking at all of those pics! All of your products are so cute! I hope it all went well for you, looks like it was fun!

  2. Great pics! It looks like you had fun. Glad you could recover from the flustered start!

  3. your booth is a-doorbell..... i love the faux bois plate!

  4. It was so good to see you! I am loving all my new goodies!

  5. It was nice to see you! Audrey still loves her little birdy she got. Sorry you had such a flustered start! I had an odd experience with a woman who would come mope around a particular painting at my booth and complain it was too expensive, hinting that she wanted it half-off. Its so odd when people act like you imported something from China instead of made it with your own little hands ;) but the rest of the people I met were so nice-- we had fun!~

  6. Oh, it looks like you had a wonderful time! The booth looked great, and so many beautiful items! Also, so many great people to share it with. So happy for you, m'dear. :)

  7. Adorable! Looks like you had fun, wish I'd been near.

  8. That ladie brought bad memories from our show days. People say things like that ll the time and don't know what they are saying. Your booth looked awsome! Cheryl says everything was very cute and adorable. ( she has been bugging me all weekend for your update!) Glad to see you had a great time! hope your sales were awesome as well.

  9. This looks like it was so much fun!
If my car wasn't hi-jacked for the weekend, I would've totally been there.

  10. You're super adorable, Stela! Your booth looked great. I hope sales were good. I hope to see you at a show soon!

  11. Looks like you had a great time! Your booth looks great and I love the mustache pictures. They cracked me up!

  12. Thank you everyone!
    And sales were GREAT!!!

  13. These photos were so much fun to look at!
Reading your posts is so fun!

  14. My yeti is keeping my company while I work. :)

Also, I gave your blog an award! You can check it out on my blog.

  15. My daughter and I went to Indie Emporium this weekend (we know Renee Nordholm) and loved your booth! It looked very professional, the products, the booth, tags, everything! My daughter got an owl buddie and has carried it around ever since and we got the owl snuggly for my daughter who stayed at home in Norman, she loves it too. The owl magnet is on our magnetic calendar, so we have owl cuties all over the place! Loved the doughnuts (and Yetis and Bigfoots), just couldn't figure out what to do with them, if you ever start making cupcakes, I will buy a ton. Best of luck on your future shows!

  16. Your stuff is so cute! :D
    I love it all!!!!
