the best around

Yesterday was Riley's 23rd birthday!
We just hung out and took it easy.

Today is the official first day of doing Stelabird full time. Well, it really started in October when I decided to make that my sole job but I still had school. I would work on things but would have to stop to go to class. Now, I have nothing to keep me from it! It was a fun feeling. I need to start looking for jobs in the Tulsa area since we are moving in 4 months. I just hope Stelabird can keep me a float (until we move) after the Christmas season! That's the only thing I worry about, the inconsistency. But I'm really excited about this!

Check out my new awesome crocheted hat from fifty acorns! I can't stop wearing it!! I love it so much! My sister & our friend Rashun got it for me for my graduation this weekend.

I also got a graduation present from Riley today! He's the best!!! I knew what it was and I was impatiently waiting for UPS to deliver it. So when we heard the UPS truck I started jumping up and down.
Meet my new beautiful light tent!!

It came packaged in a carry bag and it was coiled inside like a car sun shade. I was super excited and quickly unzipped the bag and pulled out the light tent. In the blink of an eye the light tent uncoiled and sprung into shape...and punched me in the face! I screamed and flew to the ground. Super dramatic. Riley whipped around to help me up but I couldn't get up because I was laughing so hard. You know, the laugh where you cry and your stomach feels like you've done 1000 crunches. It was classic stupidity. Later I read the instructions and they had a few warnings about that. Oops!
So tonight is all about the light tent and updating my stelabird photos.

I hope everyone is staying warm! It's 17 degrees out and gloomy here in Stillwater, OK.

  2. You're awesome! And the hat looks great on you! Thanks for the shout out, I'm glad you are enjoying the hat! I've been wearing mine all day here too, it's 30, but for Texas that's freakin' cold!

And nice light box! It looks like a spaceship! I'm excited to see how your pictures turn out, I attempted to make a light box a while ago, and it didn't really work out. I'm relying on sun for a while now!
