little miss lots-of-stuff

We finally have internet at the new place!
Yesterday Riley had to rerun the cable and in order to do so he had to go under the house. I again forgot to take a picture of him in his awesome jumpsuit but here is the picture of the hole he had to crawl into.

As he crawled under the house I walked above and talked to him to keep him company, and I just felt worried that he was under there. I felt like I was talking to a ghost or something.
If you look closely you can see our little Riley in there.

We've been staying at the new place since Thursday since we got a new bed! It's a queen size, which I've never had. Riley and I have been cozy & kicking each other on a full size bed for some time. I didn't know the difference until we decided to get a queen. It's amazing. I no longer push him off the bed!

And yes, that's a stool acting like a night stand on the side of our bed. I think that's what we'll stick with. We don't have a lamp and we only put our phones (which are our alarm clocks) on it.
Also, during the move, we had a fatality.
My old foam dress form that holds all my necklaces split in half!!

I can't decide what to do. I hate to trash her because I like her but she doesn't look good anymore. So I think I'll have to let her go, and I'm sad.

Last night Riley and I cleared out a lot of our boxes. We still have a few to go through but the home is becoming more livable and creating less headaches.

Oh and one more thing, mail comes around 5p here! WTH! I don't like that.

  1. Mail at 5? That sucks because you know how hard it is when you are waiting on ETSY mail!

  2. Aww I'm sorry for your foamy loss.

It's a larger bed the best?! We have a king and I wouldn't have it any other way. LOL

  4. I have a love/hate relationship with moving. On one hand, I'm a VERY good, efficient packer. On the other, I am TOO careful and can run out of time to pack. On one hand, I love seeing a place come together, and on the other, I have a nervous breakdown if anyone other than me tries to unpack anything *I* have packed.

  5. I love that quilt on your bed, too!

Oh and the fatality? OHh nooo! Can you not squeeze her back shut and then stick the 2 pieces together somehow? A ton of hot glue? Ribbons? Can you wrap her completely so she stays shut? Maybe with a cool print or something.
    Ya gotta save her!

  9. Yes I have much admiration for Mr. Riley! I would never climb under a house. All that comes to mind is BUGS and no way to get OUT fast and that just wouldn't be very cool :-/

I'm so happy for the both of your and your lil cute face house! It looks great !

  11. Hmm, maybe I need to upgrade to a queen size. I've got a full size right now, and my bf tries to take up my leg space! lol
