Thank you everyone for the doggie tips!!
Before we decided to get a dog we researched breeds. We needed a dog that would work with our allergies.
I wanted a poodle because I fell in love (and wasn't allergic) with a poodle named Oliver that belonged to my best friend's family.

and Riley was interested in schnauzers. We found that there is a mix between the two breeds called a schnoodle. We started researching schnoodles and they sounded perfect for us. We felt we were ready for this huge responsibility and went on our search to find our new friend.
As you saw on my latest post, we found our perfect friend on Wednesday! He will turn 8 weeks tomorrow but we are picking him up on Friday because Riley is out of town and we wanted to pick him up together. I'm so excited. We've done so much research in preparations for our new little guy. We want to get this right and give him the best possible life. I have a feeling all the preparations still won't prepare me for the real thing! I just know I'll have to be patient.

I finally took pictures of stelabird items!
You can find owl pins, pillows and mini owls in my shop this week!

  4. Congrats on the soon to be new family member. A puppy can be a lot like a little kid! Expect him to be a little bratty when he's small but he'll love ya like no other!

  7. Oh my god! congrats! that's so exciting! my puppy is now almost two and getting her was pretty much the best thing i've ever decided to do. it's hard at the beginning! potty training can really suck. but read puppy books and dog training books! they helped so much! they explain the different stages of a puppy's life and it really helps you better train them. good luck!
