Let The Games Begin

Dear friends, I'm so excited for The Hunger Games movie!
In honor of the movie coming out this week, our friend Cammeron hosted a Capitol dinner party where we all dressed up like crazy capitol people and ate delicious food and drink. We were served fried goat cheese with honey, district 12 bread, dandelion salad, lamb stew with dried plumbs and wild rice, girl on fire cake and pudding. We completed our meals with blow pop martinis. It was all so delicious! She did such a marvelous job and it was so much fun.
Unfortunately, I won't be going to the midnight release, we're waiting till Monday (ahhh!) to see it in our favorite theatre

Have you read the books?
Do you plan to see the movie?

  2. LOVE. I was planning on seeing the movie at midnight, but I leave for a trip at 7am on Friday, so staying up all night and then traveling seemed like a bad move. But you can bet I'm seeing it the second I'm back!

  4. Yup. I really do think we'll have to do something like this in class. The kids will love it! We're already planning on going to see the movie, but not for a few more weeks, unfortunately. We've been selling snacks and drinks after school to raise money for it all.

  10. I haven't read the books and actually didn't see the trailer till about a moment ago when it started popping up on everyone's blog. Now I'm super excited without knowing much about it. My friends who are OBSESSED already pre-bought tickets for Sunday and I'll be going with them. I find myself super pumped to go and I wonder if their excitement has rubbed off on me.
