a good weekend

We had a fun, stress-free, non-busy weekend.
It was a blast and well needed. We started it off with spending an evening with friends

Last week I did a I Love post about loving vintage sewing books and falling in love with ones that our friends found at a thrift shop. Saturday they surprised me with the Vogue Sewing Book!! They came across another one in town! I died.
Sunday brought beautiful weather so husband, dexter and I headed 40 miles west to visit the Gloss Mountain State Park.
I've only been to the Gloss Mountains once when I was a teenager and I didn't go on the hiking trail so I was really excited to go on the trail Sunday and see the view from above. As you can see in that last photo, Dexter was worn out. He immediately fell asleep when we got in the car.

Did you guys have a fun weekend? Let me know what you did!

  1. Fun with friends is always refreshing. I have that book in my collection. It wasn't vintage when I bought it though, :O)

  6. Aaaah, the Vogue Sewing Book! That's a great find. I NEVER see it when I look.

I had my first wedding expo on Saturday, and then slept for 11 hours when it was over. Totally exhausting, but fun!

  8. What a sweet surprise from your friends! I love the pictures from the state park. Our favorite park visit last year was to Enchanted Rock. There were so many moments were we felt like the only 2 people in the park.
