the weekend

Friday started with Riley making a new window display for the shop
I'll be sharing the completed window photos later.
Friday evening we teamed up with our business neighbor,
BlueJay's Barber Shop, to host a block party on our little block!
It rained all morning and afternoon and we crossed our fingers it would
clear up because we planned to have this event outdoors. Luckily the rain
went away and created a wonderful (yet chilly) evening!
It was so much fun and such a success. We have events like this every
First Friday of the month so if you're ever in Enid, Oklahoma please come
hang out with us!!
Saturday evening after work was filled with friends, eating kebabs...
and watching the thunder vs. spurs game! (with our friend's latest thrift store
find photobombing us)
Sunday we went to OKC, and while we were there we had brunch at our
favorite pizzeria, The Wedge.
We shared the Hang-Over pizza, which was: marinara, mozzarella,
house made sausage, pancetta, roasted potatoes, and local eggs. As well
as mimosas! So yummy.

I hope everyone had a great weekend too!

  1. Looks like the Block Party went well! So good to see and thanks for sharing pictures. Wish I could've been there in person!

Also, I'm very jealous of your brunch at The Wedge.

    1. We wish you could have been there too! We miss you here in Enid.

  2. WHAT an amazingly sweet way to do community and fellowship, so glad it was a success!

Nice to have a handy business partner :o hehe (with the signage)

    1. Haha! Yes! Husband is amazing at displays and building things!

  3. Sounds like everybody had a lot of fun at your block party night, despite the chilly weather! I'm hungry for pizza now ;-)

  4. What a wonderful party!!
    Have a great week!

  5. I watched that game too! And then caught the Celtics and Heat last night.

I really like your first Friday events. I wish there was more of that in my area, but stores tend to close around 6 in our little downtown area. It's so weird! They're missing out on a ton of business, especially in the spring and summer.

  6. Block party , kebabs and music ... sounds like a great time.
Great news about your shop, so excited for you.
    Have a great week ahead!

  7. 1. That pizza sounds delicious! We love the wedge so we'll definitely have to try this! (We only live about 15 minutes from it)
    2. So glad your block party was a success! I have been wanting to head up to your shop and since it's summer I might drag my friend along for the ride!
    3. Wasn't that game awesome! We're slightly addicted... this may cause an issue when the season's over :)

    1. 1. Oh man, I can't imagine living only 15 mins from there! I would seriously be at the wedge constantly! haha
      2. That would be amazing!!
      3. We're slightly addicted too! Our team is so awesome.

  8. It all looks like so much fun! That pizza looks so enticing :)

  9. The block party looks wonderful! If I lived closer I'd check it out! All your photos are great, now I'm hungry. TFS

  10. It looks like a great weekend! So much good food. I'm glad that the block party went well. If I lived out that way, I would definitely stop by.

  11. Wow, looks like a fun weekend :) I can't wait to see what the finished display looks like :)

  12. Looks like a wonderful time!! And that pizza sounds killer!

  13. So much fun! I love the pictures, wish I could have been there. And my stomach totally growled at that pizza!

  14. I missed out on most of the block party excitement, unfortunately, but I enjoyed chatting and being the irresponsible parent with an 18 month old shutting it down at 11 ;) And thanks for coming over for kebabs! They were delish, and we love your company always!
