It's that time of year where we are daydreaming like crazy at the shop.
When we get close to our shop anniversary (3 years on September 4th!) we always find ways to change it up. Whether it be painting the walls/floor, rearranging the entire shop or getting a new line to carry.
Right now we're thinking about getting rid of our found tables and replacing them with tables we build. And by we build, I mean husband build. And also, of course, picking up new lines. We're also thinking about hiring someone to create a new logo for The Felt Bird.
We're kinda changing things up a bit. It feels good and refreshing. And if we learned anything in these 3 years of business, it's to keep things exciting.
Don't let your customers get over you.

Love the photo of the shop :) Such a cute space! Good luck with all your changes!
Thank you so much for the suggestions Erin!
DeleteYour shop looks great, I think changing up the tables and adding new lines will make everything seem new again. With fall coming up, it's the best time to do it!
ReplyDeleteYour store is so cute! I work in a mall shop and we move stuff weekly! We call it a "refresher". Its super important to keep thiNgs looking fresh and exciting!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what changes you make! Your shop always looks awesome and you come up with the most creative displays! The tables sound cool!
ReplyDeleteYour shop looks just amazing! We only had a temporary shop so far. 8 weeks before Christmas has been one of the biggest challenges for everyone of our group! We had so much difficulties to find the right set- up...
ReplyDeleteYour shop looks great and I agree with you some changes is always good!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO wonderful that you guys are always making sure your customers don't get bored. Very smart & dedicated. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary. I have just passed my 1 year mark for my Etsy store and man has it been a ride. I am also trying to constantly change and bring more to the table. It's such an adventure! BTW I love that little coffee mug display in the center. Looks good!
ReplyDeleteGood advice! I can't wait to see what your new tables look like...that's if you convince hubby to build them. Happy upcoming Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteyour store is adorable! i love it! my husband builds our tables too...hehe.
ReplyDeleteWhat a BEAUTIFUL shop. x
ReplyDeleteI think change is good, it keeps things fresh. Congratulations on the anniversary (early) :)
ReplyDeleteYour space is so open and cheerful! I love the colors. Tables that you guys made would look amazing! I think keeping things fresh and changing things up within a business is so important.
ReplyDeleteHappy early anniversary! :-)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about keeping things fresh. I try to bring out one significantly different product every few months (like handbags, for example) just to keep people on their toes. It works!
Aaaah! I know I've said this before, but it'd be so fun to have a shop like that. One day I'm going for it... one day. It may be part coffeehouse too though. Love your shop-- it's such a fantastic space!
ReplyDeleteWe want to open a coffeeshop in here too! Except it's going to be a lot to get things up to code to serve coffee & such but maybe one of these days.
DeleteThis is so inspiring! My dream is to own a shop, but I'm having issues here in California since I'm not quite in the right market-range/things are pricey. Hopefully someday :) creating an atmosphere is so fun!
ReplyDeleteI can't get over how adorable your shop is - I just keep looking at all the pictures and wishing there were cute boutiques like that in our little town. Such a cute blog!
