Hey friends! As you can see I don't have a new Make It today. We're going with something we've made before and sharing that with you. Hope you don't mind!
Over a year ago, Husband made us a wood pallet coffee table. We are business neighbors with a local office supply shop so we get to see lots of pretty pallets. This also explains all our pallets turned displays in our shop!
Anyways, there are several ways to go about making a pallet coffee table, but this is how we did ours:
1) We found a clean wood pallet 2) Attached furniture legs found at our local hardware store. 3) Ordered glass to go on top of our table. We decided to have our pallet upside down so we could put items like books, coasters, and our remotes inside and keep the top clean but have our items visible.
I love this table so much. And it's fairly inexpensive! The most expensive piece was the glass of course. The pallet was free, legs were $12 and the glass was $50. It's a fun diy project if you need a new coffee table with some character. Have you made anything with wood pallets?
Enjoy your Monday!

Hey girl! Thanks for stopping by my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!!! And it turned out so cute! Also, I love the turquoise chairs in the background :)
I love all of your pallet pieces! I used to work in a factory, so I saw pallets ALL DAY! It's great to see them turned into something so unique, creative...and pretty :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this! What a clever idea. I'm thinking about all kinds of fun things we could fill it with.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite thing you've made! Hands down! The furniture legs are such a cool detail, they almost make it feel kind of midcentury (which is always fine with me!).
ReplyDeletemy father would have loved this....he was always bringing home pallets. he made a putt putt hole for the grandkids, and picnic tables. But he used shag carpeting on the putt putt hole, very difficult to get a hole in one. and the picnic tables would tip over unles you had an even number of children on each side. hahahaha. I miss him!

Your table is beautiful! What a creative idea.
ReplyDeleteLove those table legs and that you added the glass top. Is it hard to keep clean? That's my biggest worry with buying a glass top coffee table. I've been looking at a few for when we move, but I'm just not sure. If I was more adventurous, I would make one like you did!
ReplyDeleteWe windex our table top weekly, or whenever we make a mess!
DeleteWow the glass was $50! When I saw this on your instagram I had asked my husband if he could make one. He is currently making a project with pallets too for me. he is using the distressed wood to make me some open cubbies for store my yarn.
ReplyDeleteAnyways he said that this table needed thick glass so it would be expensive. I better tell him. I want one !
Yours looks great in your space.
Our glass is a quarter inch thick and it's done pretty well for over a year with no issues! It's what they recommended at our local glass shop.
DeleteI hope you get to make one!!
Thanks for letting me know...I hope so too! This is great.
DeleteI love all of the creative ideas for old pallets!!

this is amazing! I'm thinking about making one myself and was wondering if there is a certain way you keep the glass on top or are you just careful not to bump it? thanks
