worry wart

I haven't updated in a few days! It may have to do with me being in a bum mood. I'm graduating in a month and that makes me so excited. I think about it some more and think about the student loans I will have to start paying. The excitement turns to panic. Thinking about it makes me want to go straight to my sewing space and get to work, but I'm out of town visiting my family.
I have been listing more things to the shop regularly. I've added a new owl snuggly

a few felt birds

and some jewelry!

This week I plan to work on yeti ornaments and putting more owl snugglies in the shop. Any tummy (fabric) suggestions for the snugglies?
When you're worrisome and stressed, what's your stress reliever?
I have many, but a simple non-fattening one is a step back and taking a deep breathe.

  3. When I'm stressed, I like to take hot showers or baths. It helps me clear my head and relax.

Repaying loans isn't particularly fun, but I want to recommend consolidating them so you can get a better interest rate. Also, you'll have a few months to get in a better financial state before you'll have to start paying. My car payment is a much worse bill, in my opinion.

  4. stress reliever...yoga.

A tough yoga, not that soft stretching stuff. To get the body and mind to truly relax, you have to work it hard first. :)

  5. I love your birdies!

How about some flowers, stars or mini hearts fabric for the owl tummy?

  6. You should try some Amy Butler fabrics for the tummies. And for a stress reliever I like to go jogging. I always feel so much better after. You may feel bad while doing it but you'll feel great and sleep a lot better.

To relieve my stress, I clean. I don't know why, maybe it's just a compulsive thing I have.. but I start deep cleaning everything. Haha!
And I love drinking tea or hot chocolate to calm my nerves.. my favorite tea is Celestial Seasonings' Mandarin Green Tea. Yum!

I also LOVE the tuxedo ruffles. I have a super cute red with silver pinstripes shirt with little tuxedo ruffles that I can't wear bc I burned a hole in it with the iron...if you want the ruffles, I would be happy to send them to you :o) Just let me know.
I hope this new week helps you feel a little better!

  15. Fun new stuff!
I know the feeling of "PANIC" when you're done with school! Just trust that you're exactly where you need to be at the moment and the rest will fall into place. :)
