Today I spent some much needed quality time in my craft room!
I set up Dexter in the middle of the room with his bed & toys






I cut out as many owls as I could from the remaining fleece...which was sadly only 4


I got some new fabric in the mail and couldn't wait to make owl pillows!

I think I've mentioned this before but I like to read the closed threads blog (threads that are closed on the etsy forums) while I eat. It's my celebrity gossip, if you will. I read it and find out who to stay away from pretty much. People are so rude to each other! I've learned to never post in the forums by reading those.
A month ago I was told someone was making owls that looked like mine and I asked the person what they thought I should do. They suggested I go on the forums and ask. I knew that was a terrible idea because I've read numerous threads on "copying" and I knew if I did that I was just giving people an opportunity to knock my work. I know calling out is BAD in the forums but I appreciate the ones that help others, such as; someone is stealing people's photos to sell things, a buyer is reselling a seller's item on ebay, someone wants you to make a custom item but shows you an item from another seller. I think it's good to know what's going on. Don't judge me! haha

My new favorite ring from Broken Ear Productions!!! Kim from Broken Ear was my booth neighbor and she was super sweet! She was a pleasure to be around! When we first got there I spotted the ring at her booth and I almost fainted! It was HUGE and BEAUTIFUL! I knew I had to have it!!



I was trying to take a picture with Riley and when I swung around to hug him I punched his guitar and freaked out because I didn't want to break my new favorite ring!

ho hum

Hey everyone. I feel like I haven't blogged in forever but it's only been 2 days, ha!
Anyways, the past couple of days Riley and I have been trying to figure out life, moving and all that stuff that causes stress and worry. We don't have the money to move, and that's pretty vital. Plus, I have to start paying my college loans in a couple months. So sadly, the idea of Tulsa was scrapped. And I'm so sad, I was looking forward to hanging out with all the new friends I have made there. And we're not staying in Stillwater. We're going....back to our hometowns. Still typing/saying it kills me. I never thought I would end up back to Enid after college. But there are positive sides to going back to Enid, (a little bigger than Stillwater with a population of 48,000 but less fun businesses). First, Riley is going back to school! Second, FREE RENT! We will be staying in a vacant home that Riley's parents' own, it's in good shape and cute. They are sweet to let us stay there rent free and save our money, I'm very grateful to them. Third, we get to see our parents. We love our parents. I already planned dinner nights with my mom. Fourth, I can still continue to do Stelabird.
I'm trying to replay the positives in my head. Over and over.
But this is all happening so fast, we are moving out the first week of March. 2 weeks! I'm excited to set up a new craft space. I'm not excited about packing.
Oh guys. I'm bummed. (FREE RENT) You see what I mean! I have to keep reminding myself.
I should be very grateful that I have this option, and I am.
So that's the situation that's kept me away.

I really like these guys! They are small, cute & cuddly. I need to make more, that's for sure!

About two weeks ago I was over at Jo's (from smilemonsters.etsy.com) blog and saw she was having a giveaway. Not just any giveaway...a Wreck This Journal giveaway!! She had two, one for the winner and one for herself, so you get to wreck together!
To enter you had to have a blog and if you win you have to document the wreckage on your blog daily or weekly. This sounded like too much fun so I knew I had to enter.
Well, guess what...I WON!!!
I was super excited when she announced the winner yesterday! I did a happy dance!

Guess what, I'm still working on Exhibit One Gallery's items! Ah! I'm terrible. I'm putting along. The slowness may have to do with making all the things for Dwelling Spaces (so I'm burnt out on making multiples) and then the transition to my new accessories shop. BUT yesterday I was on fire!
I finished up the felt donuts!

coffee can't even wake me up

I'm having one of those days where I just feel tired. I feel so heavy and if I lie on couch, I know I will fall asleep. Don't you hate those days? I need about 3 more cups of coffee and 5 redbulls please.

I love change, I love a challenge. I felt like what I have planned for You're a Dreamboat doesn't fit with Stelabird.
Also, I've been working on Stelabird so much I felt like I needed another outlet, awesome fashion accessories! haha

You're a Dreamboat

I finally did it! I finally opened up my accessories shop, You're a Dreamboat!
I've been thinking about opening it since last summer and I finally got around to putting it together! Today I'm moving the brooches, earrings and rings from
Stelabird to Dreamboat and working on a banner. So now Stelabird is my plushie/home shop and You're a Dreamboat is fashion accessories!
And soon I will be adding my handmade headbands to the shop!




It's kinda weird starting all over! No feedback, no hearts, no sales...kinda lonely! haha but it's fun to start something new.
