I hope you read my title like cha-cha-cha-chia! If you didn't, well...I hope you do now? Anywho, it's Friday! Here are a few of my favorite things:
First and foremost, my most favorite thing I found this week was new HBO show The Newsroom! You guys, it's so damn good! I LOVE IT. We have HBO Go where we can watch any HBO show at any time and we saw that The Newsroom was new and decided to just watch the first episode. We ended up watching all 5 episodes that evening. And guess what I'm doing while I type this? I'm re-watching episode 1! I can't stop guys.
How awesome is this bow ring? I SPY DIY has the best wearable DIYs around.
This phone cover is soooo pretty. It's on my wishlist!
When I saw these homegrown monogram mugs from Anthropolgie I wanted to add one to my collection so bad! We made a pit stop at the Dallas store last weekend and I picked up my S!

DeleteMy favourite thing this week is my little, tiny red bag with a string that I bought for my iphone (gotta give it presents sometimes), with just enough room for the phone, a few cards or bills and my key. A lipstick too, possibly, even though it makes little bag look chubby. More adorable than useful but good for going out dancing and stuff.

DeleteThat iphone case is so freakin cute. Why is everything covered in triangles and why do I love it all so much??!! Who knew that shapes could trend! I've watched the first two episodes of the newsroom, and I like it but I'm not sure I'm totally convinced. I am a HUGE Aaron Sorkin fan (The West Wing is the best thing that's ever been created in the history of television in my humble opinion. Also love Sports Night) but I don't know if I'm going to like this one as much. I guess that I'm judging it pretty harshly because if it was up against most shows on TV right now, it would win, but I don't know if it will compare to his past work. I guess I should give it a little more time. Do you think it got better after the second episode, or continued to be the same? Hope you're having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think they get better but I was hooked from episode one. Plus, I never watched The West Wing or Sports Night so I can't compare The Newsroom to them. Sooo, I don't think I'm qualified to tell you to watch it or not! haha
DeleteOh, The Newsroom. We got HBO when we moved for Game of Thrones, and I swear, they just always suck me in with a new show - it's so very good! It's just such a good mix of humor, romance, and serious drama. And the dialogue! Ahhh, I can't wait for the next episode!

ReplyDeleteI have heard nothing but good and interesting things about Newsroom! Another blog I follow posted a clip of one of the guys in an interview ranting about how America isn't the best country anymore. And I thought that clip was absolutely brilliantly done. And it makes me really wish I had cable (and HBO too). Why do all the really cool shows have to be on those premium channels? It's so sad. :(
