Random Facts


Here are some random facts about yours truly! 

1. I cannot cut in a straight line. Maybe my eyes are crooked because I also have a hard time deciding if things are straight! I cannot hang anything on our wall. 

2. I bite my straw when I drink. Confusing drinks with husband is never an issue.

3. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I'm a cusser. I'm really good at keeping it under wraps at work though! There are times where I'm writing you guys comments and I type it in my comment and then I think, Ah! I can't say that! For example, let's say you posted something super cute and I'm loving it! My comment was probably originally, "shit goddamn that is too cute!" 

4. I rarely make my bed. I use to make it daily...until we got Dexter 3 years ago. I'd make our bed and then Dexter would jump on the bed with a toy and start unmaking the bed and burrow around. So after awhile I gave up. I only make our bed once or twice a week now. 

5. I'm a lucid dreamer. This is where you are aware that you are dreaming. I love how I can control my dreams. In comes in handy when I'm being chased or something scary. When this happens I imagine I have powers or turn invisible. I can also remember my dreams. I've mentioned before that I use to have a dream decoder book as a kid. I've always loved to fall asleep and dream!

    I also can't really cut a straight line, though I'm decent at drawing one. And I frequently remember my dreams too. Sometimes, just before waking, I'm aware that I'm dreaming and will sort of take control of what's happening. I never knew there was a name for that though! Ditto on the not making the bed every day and potty mouth. I get in trouble sometimes when I'm talking to my brother and my little niece or nephews are around. I never cuss at work or around people I don't know well, but talking to family or friends, it happens. My brother always does "ear muffs" on the kids. Haha.

    Making the bed is overrated :)
    After working in a factory for 10 years, I got quite a potty mouth as well! Hoping that goes away now that I'm at home :)

    Cutting straight lines is quite essential for what we do... but there's definitely one of us, who never makes a fault... while the other one wastes material...

    I'm a straw-biter and a potty mouth, too! I feel the need to swear coming out sometimes when I blog, but then I'm like, "No, Paige! Not everybody wants to read nine f-bombs first thing in the morning!" So then I take them out. But I'll definitely start swearing when I comment on here, because I know you won't mind. :-)

    I've had a few lucid dreams in my life but I wouldn't say it's a regular thing. They're really awesome when they happen, though!

    Oh man, if you heard me candidly talk, your ears would probably bleed! I probably ought to curb that habit some before this kid arrives! Dammit ;)

    I bite straws so that whatever I'm drinking won't touch my front teeth. I cannot stand the thought of anything other than water swishing around those two teeth!

    I cuss a lot, too. It's just become such an integral part of my every day vernacular.. I don't think I could completely eradicate it! In my defense, my husband was a Marine and my best friend is a Sailor.. But in all honesty, it's just the best form of expression.. Combine that with sarcasm and you have a goldmine, haha! I tone it down in public and on my blog, but otherwise it's F-balls this and F-balls that..

    I'm right there with ya on the cussing and making the bed. haha I'm really good at controlling myself when I need to. My dog also takes over my bed while I'm at work all day so I figure it is more comfy for him if it isn't made. :)

    My husband and I have been trying hard to cut down on the cussing before our baby comes along and starts repeating the nasties that come out of our mouths, lol. It's a little easier for me because I worked at a preschool but Tucker is having a tough time with the 'F' word... :)

    love the cussing one, hehehe. it's nice to know others sometimes have a problem too:) one of mine: i have to have the same amount of food when i chew on both sides of my mouth. so, i always have to have an even number of skittles.

      I use to keep a dream decoder book and dream journal when I was a kid and by having a dream journal I was able to recognize my dream patterns. So whenever I would dream I would recognize it as a dream and once you're conscious in your dream you can control it. Does that make sense? I hope so, cause it's pretty awesome.

    Love these! I also have a potty mouth and am somewhat of a lucid dreamer! I LOVE trying to control my dreams but it always wakes me up!
