Husband and I are back on track with cooking at home and eating our vegetarian meals. It's been nice and tasty!
We've also started walking to work. We've lived at our current place for over a year; I'm kinda mad we haven't walked to our shop more! The route is beautiful and it's only a 15 minute walk.
I'm 10 pounds away from my goal weight so I've started calorie counting. I've actually never calorie counted before, and I kinda started by accident. I was looking for apps to just keep track of my daily weight and I found this app called Lose It that I love! I love keeping track of things and having lists. It's my thing.
So, that's what's been going on over here. Just trying to improve our health.

ReplyDeleteGood for you guys for getting healthy. Nothing makes me happier than taking a early morning or late afternoon walk or run. I usually go for a 6:00am run on days I have off. Then all of this beautiful light happens and I wish I would have brought my camera, but a D3100 is not conducive to a good run LOL

ReplyDeleteLooks so delicious! Counting calories is the best way to lose weight, I think anyway. It's a math game and I like those.

Wonderful! Good for you:) I used a similar program for a while, and if you stick to it you really do loose pretty quickly, and then know how to maintain afterwards. The food looks great!
ReplyDeleteAll that food looks so good and yay for walking! It's such an easy way to build a little more exercise into your day without even trying and 15 min is so close! Just think, even if you don't do any other exercise that day, you've already done 30 minutes. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to eat just fruits and veggies all the time but my husband wouldn't have it lol. He hauls cattle so he's all about supporting the Beef industry...I find it disgusting. Good for you!! :)

Oh, how I have been trying to calorie count just to shed a few pounds, and it drove me insane! I can't function below 1500 calories! It is very hard to run far and I feel hungry and tired! Congrats on how far you've come though! More power to you! -Jessica L
ReplyDeleteI've been using the Lose It app for about 3 weeks now and love it. I don't have a scale or anything. I have no clue if it's helping me "lose it" but it does help me realize how many calories are in everything.
