The other day, husband and I were talking about our photos we've taken over the years and how we've never had them developed. They just stay on our computers/phones. And I know we've lost a few on the way. That's 6 years of photos we've taken that we may not be able to have for years to come. And that makes me really sad.
Then I learned about postalpix, and I got really excited because it's a really easy way to have these photos of my everyday printed.

Postalpix is an app where you can select the photos you want in different sizes and have them mailed to you. I love this app so much. It was easy to use and my photos arrived really fast. For my first time I made a small order to see how the photos would turn out. (they turned out pretty fantastic)
As you can see in these photos, I chose pretty random photos to print. Such as above, my feet during the seasons (I need more shoes).
I wanted to get photos that capture a moment for us. These are the little things I'm going to love to look back at in the future. Like flowers and rainy days in Spring 2012.
I want to be able to remember the little things, like...
*the time we saw The Dark Knight, husband kept doing batman/bane impressions *the time we put all of dexter's toys on him *the time husband finally beat me at air hockey *the time we had pallets as our background to our cash wrap at the shop. (we still do! I love it so much I never want to change it)
*the time I had a mannequin hand as my ring holder and pom pom garland above our bed. (we no longer have the pom pom garland there and the mannequin hand broke.) *the time we decided to make our own chocolate covered gummy bears at home *the time I got my first sno-cone of 2012 (pink lemon sour!) *the time where I constantly drank black tea in my current favorite chevron mug.
And, of course, I had to get some photos of us in 2012.
I'm so excited to get many more printed! I think I want to put them in a photo album to keep them safe and organized. I'm such a dork. The thought of having all these photos to look back at is making me giddy!
Do you keep a photo album of your photos?
Have you tried any photo printing apps or postalpix?
Have a wonderful Monday!

i'm going to check out this app right now~
ReplyDeleteI can get lost for hours looking through old photos :) I used to be better at printing my photos, but haven't done so in a LONG time! I try to remember to back them up every month.
ReplyDeleteLove the square size...very retro :)
Fantastic Stela! You have a wonderful photos!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm getting this right now. I've started taking more pictures on my phone than on my actual camera, and there are some cute ones of my nephew I need to print. :-)
ReplyDeleteHow cool is it that they are squares?!! Fantastic app! I'm always a big fan of printing off photos and making photo albums.
ReplyDeleteI do have some photo albums but I definitely want to have more. I haven't tried any photo apps except for what CVS offers.
ReplyDeletePostalpix is seriously the best, I love it! I also love that they tell me when something will print grainy so I can second guess my choices. Now that I have the vsco app my pics are like a million times better haha. All of your photos look great.
ReplyDeleteI really like the experience of looking at photos in a book so much better than on a computer. I used to make travel books of our trips, but I haven't just printed photos of everyday life to put in a book. I should do that too. You're right that it's all the little happy moments that you want to be able to remember later. Thanks for the tip about the app! :)
ReplyDeleteman I know what you mean....I have years (decades actually) sitting on my computers. I really need to get the printed, but then I feel pressured to catch up on my scrapbooking....lol

Oh, man we do the same thing. I print something every time I find a free print thing, but mostly they're on my computer. This looks like a great way to do it...and so many great pics!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this app! It does look really easy. I do my best to keep printing photos, but I take so many anymore that it's easy to get behind.
ReplyDeleteawesome!!! I was wondering if such an app existed, thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am sure that you know about Postagram? If not you need to check it out too :)
I love this! With technology, you're right, we're losing that "touch" of past memories & forgetting to look back!
ReplyDeletei know i know that's the thing about digital camera's, is we don't print many out anymore. sometimes i'll go to the target kiosk thingy and get on FB there and i can print pictures out right on that from my FB, so that's cool, but you are genius for sharing this Stela, thank you a million times over!!! can't wait to check it out!!!
ReplyDeleteI love these! I need to get so many photos made into prints...

So true. My husband and i have a couple of photo albums, but it really dwindled after our second child. I thought about printing pics but then we run out of ink. I would love to check out this site, sounds interesting. Love your pics and sweet memories!
ReplyDeletethese are so great! You've inspired me to do the same
ReplyDeleteFor our honeymoon 3 years ago, Hubby and I took all of our roadtrip photos with disposable cameras rather than our dig. camera so we would have the element of surprise.. We ended up developing over 400 pictures, it was quite costly but so worth it!
ReplyDeleteCute, I hope you can share this on my blog hop today!
