little miss lots-of-stuff

We finally have internet at the new place!
Yesterday Riley had to rerun the cable and in order to do so he had to go under the house. I again forgot to take a picture of him in his awesome jumpsuit but here is the picture of the hole he had to crawl into.

As he crawled under the house I walked above and talked to him to keep him company, and I just felt worried that he was under there. I felt like I was talking to a ghost or something.
If you look closely you can see our little Riley in there.

We've been staying at the new place since Thursday since we got a new bed! It's a queen size, which I've never had. Riley and I have been cozy & kicking each other on a full size bed for some time. I didn't know the difference until we decided to get a queen. It's amazing. I no longer push him off the bed!

And yes, that's a stool acting like a night stand on the side of our bed. I think that's what we'll stick with. We don't have a lamp and we only put our phones (which are our alarm clocks) on it.
Also, during the move, we had a fatality.
My old foam dress form that holds all my necklaces split in half!!

I can't decide what to do. I hate to trash her because I like her but she doesn't look good anymore. So I think I'll have to let her go, and I'm sad.

Last night Riley and I cleared out a lot of our boxes. We still have a few to go through but the home is becoming more livable and creating less headaches.

Oh and one more thing, mail comes around 5p here! WTH! I don't like that.

move complete

We are finally done moving!
Yesterday we moved the furniture, but I didn't get a chance to take any photos.
Now our home is a cluttered mess.

At least the boxes aren't to the ceilings and we have walking space!

moving day #2

Today was a successful moving day. I knew it would be since my mom was helping!

It only took us about 4 hours to pack everything! It took me and Riley 4 hours to just do my craft space yesterday! ha! So that shows you the leadership we were under.
All the pictures I took were from the beginning of the process, I really wish I would've taken pictures right before we left, but oh well.
The living room full of boxes of fun!

And here is the beginning process of packing the cars full of boxes.

I really really wish I would have taken a picture of it at the end because my mom and Riley filled every space possible in the CRV & Jeep. But...there are still plenty of boxes we had to leave behind to come back for on Saturday.
I'm so disgusted with myself with how much stuff I have! It's terrible. So on tomorrow's agenda it is going through all the boxes and making sell/donate piles. I'm sooo not looking forward to that. But I don't need all that stuff.

moving day #1

Yep, #1 because we have two more days left to go.
Riley and I went to Stillwater today to pack up the house but we ended up only partially packing the house and packed all my craft stuff, which works out because that's all we could fit in my car. Plus, I needed my Stelabird things!! I'm so happy I didn't shut down my shop for a couple of days while we move since I sold a couple things today! Yay!
Here are bags full of fabric.

Here's Riley in the old bedroom being awesome.

The packed CRV

I, of course, couldn't just put the boxes & bags in my craft room and not do anything with it!

I'm almost done setting up the new craft room, I just have a few more finishing touches before I show it all to you!
But I spent a good amount of time with my fabrics. What I love about moving & having to organize is getting reacquainted with my fabrics. I forgot I had certain ones! It's sad! But now I'm so excited because it's like they are brand new! Which, they kinda are.

So, tomorrow we are at it again. This time my amazing mom is coming along. She is the Queen Packer. She doesn't have a lazy bone in her body and she gets things done. Yay!
And our last moving day should be Saturday when Riley's Dad comes with his truck and trailer and gathers all our furniture. We are making this a fun family event. Hehe!

I'm definitely feeling better about this move. I love my new craft room. So does Burl.

Well, it's 2am and I have to be up in a few hours to start moving day #2!

painting, painting and more painting

The song on repeat this weeks is: My Love by The Bird and the Bee.

We are moving this week. We have been working on finishing up with painting. Last night we started on the bathroom.

We are keeping it an olive color but since it had random white spots we went ahead and repainted it.

We also finished painting the living room!!

And today we completed the second coat on the bathroom and I started painting the trim.

Tomorrow we are going back to Stillwater to start packing. Yep, I still haven't packed! haha. I actually did pack all my books and brought it to Enid, but that's about it. We have a lot of work ahead of us.

I'll keep you updated with the "fun" process.
Have a wonderful Monday!!

yay it's Thursday!

Last night Riley and I went to Enid to start cleaning up the new place where we will be living.
Riley was being Mr. Clean, sweeping the whole house and using goo gone to remove candle wax from the counter while I was being lil' miss sneeze my brains out.

He also is giving me a whole room for my studio!!!! I'm so excited to have so much space!!

It has a closet in there that is perfect for holding all my fabrics! It also comes with a creepy Coraline door so I can visit my other mother. See it at the bottom left? There are also more shelves on the other side that is great for holding all my packaging supplies. Yay!!

We're going to start painting the place on Sunday. I'm keeping the stenciled wall in my future craft room but we are painting the 2 other walls, since it's a terrible red and gold! Don't worry the parents didn't do it, they have better taste than that.

I'm excited to decorate all over again!

On today's agenda I'm finishing up the owl snugglies for Blue 7.

They'll be there this Saturday! I'll be making the trip to OKC to drop them off and then have lunch with my seester.

And....since we are moving in 2 weeks the boxes have entered the house.

ugh! I'm not looking forward to the packing.

I've been a bad journal mom this week! But I promise there will be wreckage next week. No making pretty, but some WRECKAGE! I think I'm ready for a little tear or something. I find it really hard to tear, rip, throw, etc. I feel bad! haha, I know that's the whole purpose but I love to take care of my belongings. I'll have to get over it.
I'm working on a few pages right now, but they aren't complete.
Such as: Collecting the stamps from my mail!
I need more mail with those stamps! Send me some mail! ha

I'm very happy it's Thursday! I love Thursdays. Good tv night :)
Have a wonderful day everyone!!

ho hum

Hey everyone. I feel like I haven't blogged in forever but it's only been 2 days, ha!
Anyways, the past couple of days Riley and I have been trying to figure out life, moving and all that stuff that causes stress and worry. We don't have the money to move, and that's pretty vital. Plus, I have to start paying my college loans in a couple months. So sadly, the idea of Tulsa was scrapped. And I'm so sad, I was looking forward to hanging out with all the new friends I have made there. And we're not staying in Stillwater. We're going....back to our hometowns. Still typing/saying it kills me. I never thought I would end up back to Enid after college. But there are positive sides to going back to Enid, (a little bigger than Stillwater with a population of 48,000 but less fun businesses). First, Riley is going back to school! Second, FREE RENT! We will be staying in a vacant home that Riley's parents' own, it's in good shape and cute. They are sweet to let us stay there rent free and save our money, I'm very grateful to them. Third, we get to see our parents. We love our parents. I already planned dinner nights with my mom. Fourth, I can still continue to do Stelabird.
I'm trying to replay the positives in my head. Over and over.
But this is all happening so fast, we are moving out the first week of March. 2 weeks! I'm excited to set up a new craft space. I'm not excited about packing.
Oh guys. I'm bummed. (FREE RENT) You see what I mean! I have to keep reminding myself.
I should be very grateful that I have this option, and I am.
So that's the situation that's kept me away.

In other news...

I listed another new owl buddy in my shop the other day!

I really like these guys! They are small, cute & cuddly. I need to make more, that's for sure!

and here are the latest earrings at You're A Dreamboat!

That's all for today!
I have a question for you!
What is your favorite home decor etsy shop?

Have a beautiful day!

I love IKEA!

Who doesn't love Ikea?!
Riley and I are planning on getting a house together in May/June and we can't wait to go to Ikea for our furniture. We don't have one in Oklahoma so we are having to make a trip to Texas. Riley and I kinda live together already but he has his own house and I have my little apartment by campus. The apartment just isn't big enough for us and our belongings.
We already found the house we want but I have to wait until monday to call. I found this house through this company's website. They don't have a for rent sign up so I hope it is still available. It's a 3 bedroom brick home on the north side of town. We wanted a 3 bedroom so he can use one room for music/recording, a crafting room for me, and then our sleepy room. So I'm keeping my fingers cross that it's nice inside!! It looks nice on the outside but looks can be deceiving. I also feel like I'm doing this really early. Is January too early? Hmm.

Winter break is about over. Classes start monday, I go back to work tuesday, and sleeping in is thrown out the window. Stelabird was good to me this winter break. I'm in the process of starting up my website. That's Riley's job because I'm not good at that computer stuff.

I can't wait to move!!!
