We are moving this week. We have been working on finishing up with painting. Last night we started on the bathroom. We are keeping it an olive color but since it had random white spots we went ahead and repainted it. We also finished painting the living room!! And today we completed the second coat on the bathroom and I started painting the trim.
Tomorrow we are going back to Stillwater to start packing. Yep, I still haven't packed! haha. I actually did pack all my books and brought it to Enid, but that's about it. We have a lot of work ahead of us.
I'll keep you updated with the "fun" process. Have a wonderful Monday!!
Last night Riley and I went to Enid to put on the second coat of paint in the living room. Here we are pop n' lockin' in some awesome paint suits! The painting didn't last but only a couple hours because we ran out of paint and Lowe's was already closed. Bummer. But I think the plan is to pack all next week and be in Enid and continue working on the new house! I'm excited to set up my craft room.
***WTJ*** For today's wreck this journal I was working on the page that has you list more ways to wreck the journal. Well, not only that but I decided to do one of them. I decided to do #3, play tug of war with your dog! So we had my parents' dog Rocko help us out. Expect he didn't want to play tug of war so we had to opt for just plain ol' fetch, except he doesn't believe in fetching.
WARNING: There is audio so if you are at work or prefer to not listen please turn down your speakers. Also, there is some blair witch type footage, I hope you don't get motion sickness. :)
So I finally got my journal a little dirty! Thanks Rocko!! And poor Riley stepped in a pile of poo, so..sad day for him.
We needed to complete #3 so we headed over to Riley's parents' house to try and get their puggle, Max to do the job! This guy is spunky and fun so we knew he would be up to the challenge! Except he wasn't at all.
And the reason he stops running around at the end is because he steps in his own poo. It was a poo steppin' in kind of day. I had to add a new way to the list since #3 never got accomplished.
Song on repeat for the week.... I Woke Up Today by Port O'Brien
(Kinda) an oldie but (definitely) a goldie!
How was everyone's weekend?! On Saturday I went to Blue 7 to drop off new owl pillows!! If you live in the OKC area go check them out!
On Sunday, Riley and I woke up early and drove to Enid to start painting the new house that we will move into in about 2 weeks. We headed to Lowe's to get some paint and ended up getting the same color (aqua glow) that we painted my old craft room/our current bedroom. We just love it too much.
Remember that nasty red & gold combo on the wall? Gone! The future craft room! (ignore the blue tape!)
Next we moved on to the future bedroom. This room was a sand color but we decided to use the Aqua glow in this room as well. So here is the after photo:
I will admit, the first part of the day I was a terrible working buddy. I was busy being grossed out by all the dead bugs (I know, I know) while I was edging. So my mom stopped by and picked me up to run errands and released Riley from my whininess. After Dinner I stole my mom's cleaning supplies & was ready to work! Also, yesterday was my first time to use one of those magic erasers. THOSE THINGS ARE MAGIC! I was erasing crayon marks off glass & walls with ease! I was erasing everything! They are truly addicting. Then after I did some cleaning I got to work on edging again The last thing we did last night was begin to edge the living room. Before, it had white walls with a pink tone. It didn't do the room any justice. Today we woke up early and got straight to work. Our goal was to finish the first coat of the living room. We are painting this room a soft green called Green Monsoon. I love the openness in my craft room! I don't think I'll feel alone and claustrophobic in this room.
**WTJ** I did this a couple days ago!
Be sure to check out Jo's blog to see what she's been doing to her journal!!
Have a fantastic week everyone! Let's finish up February 2009 with a bang!
Today was suppose to be a stelabird day, but that did not happen. Riley and I had lunch at Subway then decided to walk to Petco to buy a fish to name Michael Phelps. Sadly, we did not find a fish we loved to name Michael Phelps. We then walked to Pier 1 and ended up roaming the store for some time. It got us excited again to finish decorating our home. After that we went to Lowe's and bought yellow paint and plywood. Then we came home and painted. We had to do multiple coats so they are currently drying. I'll post pictures of the finished product later. Classes start tomorrow!
