Happy Thursday!

Guess what, I'm still working on Exhibit One Gallery's items! Ah! I'm terrible. I'm putting along. The slowness may have to do with making all the things for Dwelling Spaces (so I'm burnt out on making multiples) and then the transition to my new accessories shop. BUT yesterday I was on fire!
I finished up the felt donuts!



then I completed all the owl keychains!

I hope to complete the rest this weekend. Crossing fingers.

It's cold and dreary out, and even the coffee can't perk me up.
I woke up and did the computer thing: email, convos, twitter, myspace, blog.
Then I put tags on all the merchandise I'm giving to Dwelling Spaces. I really need to look into getting better tags. That's going on my "look into" list.
Here are the things I've been working on all weekend that will be at Dwelling Spaces this week, maybe. Oklahoma is expected to get our annual winter storm this week. Ice, ice and more ice. So, we'll see.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming...
After posting the yeti photo Riley and I went to the store to get groceries before the weather got bad. I couldn't tell how bad it was until my car skidded a bit past the stop sign. On our way to the store everyone was going 20 mph in a 50 mph street.
I knew road conditions weren't good but I totally under estimated the parking lot.
I opened my car door, stepped out and WHAM fell on my booty. I was still holding on to the car door trying not to slide under. I should have known not to wear chucks, those are devil shoes when it comes to bad weather. My booty still hurts.
Ok, now back to your regular programming...

I like my coffee black just like my metal

Yesterday was full of color, today it's all black.
It's gloomy outside, I can't find any brown fleece in town, the new fabric store in town is just a smaller hobby lobby fabric section, and Riley and I are wearing the same black shirt.
I was having a wonderful morning until I stepped outside and every little thing just bothered me, so I'll just stay in doors and keep to myself.
I hate those days that little things get to you.

grr, where's my car?

How's everyone's Saturday so far?
Mine's good, I've been doing a lot of shopping online for Christmas! I should be in OKC shopping with my sister but I don't have a car! I took my car into the shop a couple days ago to get my driver's side lock fixed because it wasn't working. I called yesterday to find out the progress and let them know I was going out of town Saturday. The man checked in on it and when he got back to the phone he told me the guy working on it broke the door handle and it's not working. They ordered the part, it'll come in on Monday. WTH. The man was really nice and kept apologizing. The shopping wasn't urgent but I really wanted to hang out with my sister and shop, so I was sad. We have Riley's car but it's old and I would never dream of taking that thing on the highway!
So, here I am, spending my monies online!
Speaking of gifts, I got some in yesterday!!! My birthday is next week, and my bestie, Goldie sent me some presents!
She sent over a ton of goodies! Here are some:

At her casa in TX she put some flowers she found in her bathroom furnace! I thought that was such a great way to cover up the ugly thing! It looked so cool. So for my bday she sent over some flowers for me to do the same!!
Next, she sent over some new art she's been working on!

and some soap she made!!


The other day I WON A GIVEAWAY!!! I was so excited! It was over at Crank Heart Pony's blog! I won the glitter vinyl sampler!! These are the ones I chose and received!

I may have some glittery bird wings soon!!
Ever since we got our homemade hot cocoa the other day we cannot get enough of it!!! And we put our new homemade marshmallows from Whimsy and Spice in there and it. is. amazing!

i love you plumbing

Our plumbing is fixed!!!!
We've had problems for about a month now. We'd call maintenance almost 3 times a week and they would come and fix it and then a couple days later, nothing drains again. It got worse over time: anytime we flushed the toilet, did laundry, or washed dishes it would come up in the bathtub. The toilet would overflow quite frequently. It was a nasty situation. We couldn't take a shower without the water filling up above our ankles and taking all night to drain.
Around 8am maintenance came over to begin snaking the pipes again. He said he thought there were rust deposits in the pipes that were causing ridges and that could be our problem. Riley and I had to run some errands out of town and when we got back...it was a magical moment. We first flushed the toilet a couple times. Looking good. The next test, laundry. Every single time we attempted laundry it would drain into the bathtub. So I started a load. I kept checking the bathroom. NOTHING! I was so excited!!! Next, dishes! NOTHING! AH!!! I forgot what it felt like to have normal plumbing! Then I took my shower which felt like the cleanest shower I've had in a while! The water drained perfectly.

Today has been a busy day! I haven't had a chance to work on stelabird. Other than going out of town and making my home clean I've been working on school things, such as ordering graduation announcements, taking an online exit exam for my college loans, figuring out how to pay for my college loans, paying bills, changing my voter registration information and working on a project for class. I now need to study for an exam I have tomorrow. Oops! Slipped my mind.

Last night I filled the yetis, I now need to sew them up. I also started making owl key chains to sell at Indie Emporium.
