I love...

The other day, husband and I were talking about our photos we've taken over the years and how we've never had them developed. They just stay on our computers/phones. And I know we've lost a few on the way. That's 6 years of photos we've taken that we may not be able to have for years to come. And that makes me really sad.
Then I learned about postalpix, and I got really excited because it's a really easy way to have these photos of my everyday printed. 

Postalpix is an app where you can select the photos you want in different sizes and have them mailed to you. I love this app so much. It was easy to use and my photos arrived really fast. For my first time I made a small order to see how the photos would turn out. (they turned out pretty fantastic)
As you can see in these photos, I chose pretty random photos to print. Such as above, my feet during the seasons (I need more shoes). 

I wanted to get photos that capture a moment for us. These are the little things I'm going to love to look back at in the future. Like flowers and rainy days in Spring 2012.

I want to be able to remember the little things, like...
*the time we saw The Dark Knight, husband kept doing batman/bane impressions *the time we put all of dexter's toys on him *the time husband finally beat me at air hockey *the time we had pallets as our background to our cash wrap at the shop. (we still do! I love it so much I never want to change it)
*the time I had a mannequin hand as my ring holder and pom pom garland above our bed. (we no longer have the pom pom garland there and the mannequin hand broke.) *the time we decided to make our own chocolate covered gummy bears at home *the time I got my first sno-cone of 2012 (pink lemon sour!) *the time where I constantly drank black tea in my current favorite chevron mug.

And, of course, I had to get some photos of us in 2012.

I'm so excited to get many more printed! I think I want to put them in a photo album to keep them safe and organized. I'm such a dork. The thought of having all these photos to look back at is making me giddy!

It's the little things

Here are the things that are making me happy lately:

The other day I mentioned how I was ready for fall and taking the steps towards it by doing all the things that reminded me of my favorite season. One of those things was watching my Peanuts DVDs. It rained overnight and we woke up to 77 degree cloudy weather. It was amazing! I didn't think we'd ever get a break from our 110 degree days. I bought a chai tea latte (one of my favorite fall drinks) in celebration of the cool, fall-like day. 

That evening husband also learned Charlie Brown Theme (not to be confused with the popular peanuts song Linus and Lucy) for me! I've mentioned this before but I LOVE LOVE LOVE that husband fills our home with music. 

I felt my ringtone needed a little updating so I went with Dave Brubeck's 

Take Five! 

Husband is on here twice because he's awesome. I wanted to share this creepy face photo because it reminds me how lucky I am to have married my best friend! We were out eating dinner and he made this face and stared at me, so when I looked over at him it scared me and I screamed. That's right. I screamed out loud in the restaurant! I buried my face in my hands and laughed so hard I cried. It was kind of an embarrassing moment for me but it made me so happy that I have a husband that keeps me smiling and laughing. 

The other night I had a dream about chocolate covered gummy bears and I haven't been able to get them out of my mind! So yesterday, I made my dreams come true and made some. A ladies gotta do what a ladies gotta do.

I love...

As most of you know, I love music. I love it so much that I have a weekly feature about 

songs I'm obsessed with.  In my vehicle I have Sirius XM radio, but when I feel like

listening to something specific I use Rdio. This, my friends, is the thing I Love...

For those who don't know what Rdio is it's a music subscription service. You

can get it on your phone, iPad, and desktop. We use this on our iPad at our shop to

listen to whatever we want. We pay a small fee each month to be able to stream about any song at any time.  It's nice to be able to hear a song on XM and be able to find

it on rdio and add it to a playlist or stream the whole album to check out.  I love being able to hop in my car and be able to listen to indie rock, jazz, 90s jams, ANYTHING! You can also find friends on there and listen to their collections and playlist.

I'm in love with this beautiful organza flower brooch I won from One Perfect Day's blog giveaway! The soft pink color and natural colored knit fabric leaves are perfect. I love pairing the brooch with my mustard colored cardigan.

I absolutely love vintage sewing books!
The fashion design major in me bursted at the seams (see what I did there? oh yea I did) when my friend showed me these books she found at local thrift stores. The Complete Book of Sewing on the left is from the 50s and the Vogue Sewing book is from 1970. I stopped listening to everyone around me when I opened up the Vogue Sewing Book. The illustrations were so fascinating. 

I did some searching, because I need this book in my life, and found a few on

etsy! I'll definitely be getting my own in the foreseeable future!

I'm so in love with these geo earrings from A Merry Mishap! 

I've been daydreaming about them and they've been in a couple 

of my friday favorites, so I decided it was time to have them in my life.

I had the hardest time deciding on which color to get, they were all so lovely.

As you can see I ended up choosing pale blue.

I have a feeling I won't be taking these off.

I love...

I'm falling in love with this tablet. 
Earlier this week I was updating the pictures I had in the about me section and I
was telling husband that I wish I could hand-write text on his picture. I loved
the look. He simply stated "You can" and went to grab this tablet he had bought 
some time ago. My mind was blown. I had forgotten about it and why wasn't 
I using it already?!
So I was geeky and drew hearts on his picture. You can visit my about page
to see the goofiness in action. 

So yea, I can't stop writing on everything. 
But don't worry friends, I'll try not to write on every single picture!

Christmas movies!!

Here are my top 3...

I've been watching these movies already several times this week. I love them so much. It's been busy at the shop and when I come home I have to make scarves to restock our store; so it's nice to watch these movies while I knit. They do a great job of getting you into the holiday spirit.

This past week all I've done is read & knit. I've been knitting scarves for our boutique and once I finish reading a story (I feel weird saying book now since it's not a book!) I buy another one. Knitting and reading are my cold weather hobbies.
