Here are some random facts about yours truly!
1. I'm one of those pet owners that treats their pet like family. Dexter is like a son to me and I'm not ashamed of it! I love him to pieces.
2. People we meet in our city never believe we're from Oklahoma.
3. I'm so excited for The Hunger Games movie! One more month!!
4. Every morning I have to check my email, facebook, twitter and play solitaire (until I win) on my phone before I can get out of bed.
5. So I've mentioned before that I have an oral allergy to bananas and avocados and it sucks because I love them. Well, one day Riley bought some organic bananas and I went ahead and ate one. Guess what...nothing happened! I was so excited! My mind was blown. The other day I found some organic avocados and decided to give those a try. Guess what! Nothing happened!! AaaaHh!
Why am I no longer allergic? Was it the pesticides on the fruits? I'm just thrilled I can get organic now and be perfectly fine without a reaction.
What are some random facts about you? Please share!
Have a fantastic Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteMy pets have always been family members too!
Our fubaby Harley is very much a part of our family as well :)
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you can enjoy bananas and avacados again! All the pesticides they use these days makes me nervous!
I treat my dog like she's my baby, and she knows it, so when I go to bed and I call her she just lays there waiting for me to pick her up and carry her like a baby so I bring her to her bed hehe.
ReplyDeletelove the post :)

Yes...I'm in your camp- and can't understand those that have pets who are just a dog to them! How weird but great about the fruits too!
ReplyDeleteI have a puppy "sister" that lives with my parents. Organic yeah!!!
ReplyDeleteI have the same allergies along with many other raw fruits and when my allergist tested me for food allergies she said I didn't have any and that it was probably from the pesticides, but I never thought to try organic... duh! I'll have to give that a shot.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if switching to organic works for you! I sure hope so
DeleteVery interesting about the pesticides. My random fact for the day is that I looked in the mirror a few minutes ago and saw that I had a noticeable piece of dry skin hanging from my nose. It WAS skin, but now I'm wondering about all the people I've seen so far today who totally thought I had a booger hanging from my nose and didn't tell me. Awesome. Just so you know, Stela, if I saw you and you had something hanging from your nose, I would tell you. Cause I'm nice like that.
ReplyDeleteOh nooo! I would totally tell you if you had a skin booger hanging from your nose.
DeleteFun fun fun learning these of you! Cute you! So awesome about how your allergy cleared up, does not surprise me though!
ReplyDeleteAnd as you know, I am the same way about my pooch! :0
I loved this and shared on my own blog :) I'm glad you are able to eat bananas now! They're my absolute favorite. And animals ARE part of the family!
ReplyDeleteHooray for finding a new way to eat avocadoes. They are one of my favorite foods! I think you're right that it must be the pesticides in the non-organic kind that were causing your reaction. Hey, why not make some guacamole to celebrate! And maybe the next goal would be to try an organic banana? :) Great post! Nice to learn more about you!
ReplyDeleteI have the opposite issue with a food allergy. I'm not allergic to regular milk, but organic milk causes my throat to swell closed!
ReplyDeleteInteresting thing about the allergy to the pesticides. I wonder what they use on both bananas and avocados?
ReplyDeleteJust be careful and have someone home when you eat them till you're SURE it's not the food. :)
hmm random things about me
ReplyDelete1. im horrible with directions
2. i can pick things up with my feet

Hmm, I'm allergic to horses, do they come in organic?
ReplyDeleteI'm allergic to the cocktail for shrimp cocktail and remoulade sauce. I think it's the horseradish in both. So glad you can eat both again. It's amazing what pesticides can do.
