snugglies & soup

The new song on repeat for this week: Factories-Winter Gloves

I finished the owl snugglies for Dwelling Spaces last night. I wish the roads were better so I could drive to Tulsa and drop them off, but not today. And this weekend I'll be in Dallas, so maybe Monday! geez.

Next on the agenda, start working on Exhibit One's order. And eat some vegetable soup. And shop on etsy. I browsed Etsy last night; there are so many amazing things it's so hard to pick! I was searching for headbands, headbands with big flowers or some other amazing adornment, not feathers though, I have enough of those.
So if you (or your favorite friend) have any headbands with flowers or other awesomeness please let me know! I'd love to support my fellow bloggers!

Happy Hump Day!

Burl

So when I said you would see Burl in my shop very very soon, I really meant very very soon! Burl will be making it to Stelabird.etsy.com TODAY!!
I made a couple more last night and was very pleased with them.
And since it's cold here in Oklahoma I decided they needed a scarf to keep them warm.

I hope you love them as much as I do.
Have an enjoyable Thursday everyone!
What are your plans for the day?
Mine are putting Burl in the shop and making new items for Dwelling Spaces.

Happy Inauguration Day

I've been watching CNN since I woke up this morning. All was happy and well and full of hope and in one split second at the inaugural lunch it turned somber. Both Senator Edward Kennedy AND Senator Robert Byrd collapsed. The story is still unfolding.
But I'm overjoyed we have a new President.

Despite watching CNN all day I've listed some new items in my shop.

and this owl snuggly will be entering the shop later this evening...

I hope everyone is enjoying today! I'm going to watch the parade now.

hello flutterby

I LOVE giveaways. Lots of etsy sellers are hosting them on their blog and I think it's a great idea! I, too, will be hosting one later this month.
Anyways, I came across Pamela Angus's blog when she was having a giveaway.
She was offering her flutterbys.

Aren't they beautiful?! I was really excited about this giveaway and entered.
2 weeks later she announced the winner, and yes it was me!!! I never win anything so I was soooo excited that out of all the people that entered, little ol' me won a beautiful flutterby!! I got to choose my color and I chose yellow. And it came in the mail today!

Oh I'm so in love! I need to get another flutterby soon so she can have a friend. I love to have pairs of things around the house. I also need to find the perfect place to put it!
You can visit Pamela's etsy shop here!

Also it took two weeks for someone to do something to our obama/biden sign. They covered it with a sticker saying vote for jimmy, as in the sandwich shop. So when I returned home last night I saw it and was able to take it off without much damage. I knew something was bound to happen, just didn't know what yet. At least we still have it in one piece and fully readable.

my addictions

Why can't I live in a place where Flight of the Conchords is touring? And why can't I have the funds to take me places they are playing?! Phooey.

Enjoy these two clips s'il vous plait

Today I put more owl buddies and felt birdies in my etsy shop! And I took time to check out the forums. I had never been to the etsy forums before and let me tell you, it was addicting! Great, something else to keep me on etsy most of the day!

This past week I've finished the owl snugglies, coin purses, owl pins and bird necklaces that I'm putting in the shop Tuesday.
My sister came to visit me this weekend and we went through my things in storage to figure out what I'm keeping and what I'm selling. It was so hard because I feel bad for getting rid of things! But I got it together and decided to sell a ton of my shoes and clothes.
2 more weeks before I move to Tulsa for the summer! I'm doing my intern. I also get to be a part of the Tulsa Craft Mafia this summer!
I have no pictures to show so I will show some etsy faves!!!
